Bias We avoided nonresponse bias because every paired subject was willing and agreed to play tic-tac-toe for our experiment. Measurement and response bias was avoided because the game only allows two outcomes for a pair- a win or a tie. These two outcomes are the outcomes we are testing. Selection bias is still present however. Our population was DH Conley students and because we took our sample from six class periods, all other classes besides those six are excluded from the data.
